About three years ago I was working on a TUI input deck using a Raspberry Pi 2 and the NoIR camera module and AR orientation markers on the surface for drawing the UI in my cybre helmet.

I should revisit that project this winter.

@enkiv2
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Custom RS232 cables like snakes pouring from the SCSI adapter.
I watched termcap files glitter in the ir_black colorscheme in vim
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

:~$ lsof /dev/pts|grep -E 'runcbl.*deleted'|awk '{print $2}'|sort -u|xargs kill -9 2>> /home/$USER/cbl_log

Shamelessly stolen:

Yesterday
All those backups seemed a waste of pay.
Now my database has gone away.
Oh I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly,
There's not half the files there used to be,
And there's a milestone hanging over me
The system crashed so suddenly.

I pushed something wrong
What it was I could not say.
Now all my data's gone away
and I long for yesterday-ay-ay-ay.

Yesterday,
The need for back-ups seemed so far away.
I knew my data was all here to stay,
Now I believe in yesterday.

Little known fact: You can pin hashtag streams on the #mastodon web interface

Steps:

1. search #playonbsd in the search box (upper left corner)
2. click on #playonbsd - a new column will show up on the rightt
3. click on the settings button of that column (upper right corner)
4. now click on "+Pin"
5. never miss out on #playonbsd again :flan_cheer:

anybody know of a working root exploit for 7th gen fire tablet running fireos 5.6.0? preferably one that doesn't require me to download and run r00t_your_phone_no_m4lware_I_promise.exe from totallylegitsoftware.ru? (ok running random blobs on the tablet since it will be wiped soon enough)

Upgraded to v2.5.0. Enabled relay. Awaiting relay approval. Lets see how this works!

So went out with coworkers and ex-coworkers tonight, turns out there is a place called "nocturnal cookies that moved next door! nocturnalcookies.com/

Another machine saved from battery death (the real-time clock/BIOS batteries are often leaky and the resulting corrosion can destroy the traces of a motherboard and nearby components).

Ideally the soldered-on battery is relaced with a solution that allows easy battery replacement, so it can be put in storage easily. Not sure yet what I’ll do here as there’s limited space in this Commodore PC-10C.

Well.. debugging took a wild change in direction...
