@vickysteeves what exactly are you after? I ran a research lab back in the day. It was part of a university.
@vickysteeves I didn’t need to write anything to establish it. It came before me and I took over its stewardship. Did need to continually update other policy documents. Honestly the bulk of the time was spent on billing policies for lab services and overhead.

@vickysteeves academic setting? I think your billing and cost recovery is going to be the worst part. Justifiable/defensible billing of grants. Still. Have. Nightmares! 😂
@david mainly, how did you establish your lab? did you have to write a thing justifying it to your boss? did you write an outline of responsibilities for lab members/standard operating procedures as a part of getting it started?
