@TechConnectify Tell me you're not using GFCI without telling me you're not using GFCI! :)
@emaste Yeah, that was a cheap shot across the bow on PIE. D38047 is what I really want (to keep my local patchset size down, and it should be ready to go if it just got more eyes on it)
@emaste also, PIE for ports. You said one thing per toot, right? 😉
@emaste I'm referring to just the ones 'required' on a new build. I run poudriere to build my local package repo and I will frequently get _4_ LLVMs (and gcc) in addition to the base LLVM. it is really crazy, and totally kills poudriere build times
@emaste yes. The multiple clang / gcc / rust installs is a thing we should really do something about. It is crazy
@a2_4am OMG YES THIS!!!

my project is now up on the FreeBSD Foundation website!!: https://freebsdfoundation.org/project/freebsd-as-a-tier-i-cloud-init-platform/
@jbzfn@mastodon.social I do, it is pretty straightforward, just get the packages for ruby, postgres, ffmpeg, graphicsmagick, git, apache (yes, I prefer apache), (mod_passenger), a few others (all documented on the mastodon page as base requirements), then bundle install and go (this instance is proudly hosted on #FreeBSD)
@a2_4am I think dazzledraw had a similar protection system; and I am really curious how it worked since not even nibble copiers could copy the duplicate disk, made with the standard disk and a standard drive.
TIL Tom Lehrer released his entire discography, including the lyrics, to the public domain
@javmaster OMG YES; Can you share files or put it on shapeways?
