@lattera I'd go with python (or another interpreted/dynamically typed language). For systems work speed of iteration for changes for me is more important to optimize for over raw performance of the runtime.
@alrs@lattera the lack of a compile step; or if I am really trying to understand a problem/technique I can go full REPL mode and interact with the code fully interactively
@david @lattera No REPL, of course, but compilation in Go is really fast.
