So I loaded the drm-kmod i915kms module and the laptop just reboots and now the contents of rc.conf… have been replaced with that of /etc/group???

What the fuck, #FreeBSD?

This might be the weirdest behavior I have *ever* gotten…

@phryk i had that happen when I used 12.0 compiled drm modules on a 12.1 kernel (and is now acknowledged in the 12.1 errata). (Well. The reboot. Not the rc.conf bit)

@david

Can I get a link?

Also how do I avoid freebsd loading the driver? I currently can't even edit rc.conf because of this…

Follow

@phryk single user mode from loader will bypass all of rc.conf
